When trying to install the iLok Licence Manager (my Windows 10 Pro completely freeze halfway in the installation every time. Computer must be hard-reset/power cut to be able to restart.
I have done a clean and newinstall, but still the same problem. All suggestions on the iLok troubleshooting-guide has been tried, to no avail. Tried to start installation as admin, compability mode etc.I found a log reporting installation failed with error code 1063 (cannot find this log again, was in some built-in app?).Have been forced to use system restore to get rid of the halfway installed drivers before I could retry.
Once the machine refused to start up (automatic recovery started during boot) until I had chosen a system restore point to revert back to.I´ve tried customer support, they just point to Microsoft, giving no help.Apparently same problem as here:http://duc.avid.com/showthread.php?t=365037. Hello Snapsh,Thank you for posting your concern in Microsoft Community and welcome to the Windows 10 Family. We appreciate the time and effort you have put in to resolve the issue. I would like to assist you further from here. From the description provided, I understand that you are unable to install the mentioned application in Windows 10.As an initial recommendation, I would suggest you to try to install the application in compatibility mode and check if it helps. Follow the below steps.Right-click on the setup file and click on 'Properties'.Click on the ‘compatibility’ tab and check the box 'Run this program in compatibility mode for” and select previous Operating System from the drop down.Click on ‘Apply’ and click ‘OK’ and run the file to install it.Kindly keep us posted on the status of the issue. If it still persists, feel free to write to us for further assistance.Thank You.
Ilok free license free download - License Crawler, TerminatorX Site License, Belarc Advisor, and many more programs. HardKey License Manager.
Thank you for the response.Unfortunately, those options have been tried, both installing as administrator and in compability-mode for Windows 7. The result is exactly the same: Midway in the install of iLok drivers everything halts, mouse pointer is frozen and PC does not respondto anything but hitting the reset button.I did give the wrong error code in my first post, correct code is 1603 (not 1063). I´m sorry for the mistake. There is no error message given during installation (since everything just freeze), but I have found this as 'Installation result' in Windows ReliabilityMonitor.

Better.Authorize your software. with the mightiest and smallest device yet. The all-new iLok (third generation) holds up to 1,500 authorizations—3x more than before—and delivers twice the transfer speed of the iLok 2. Plus, it’s sleeker, smaller, and more secure, with a full metal jacket (made from durable aluminum) that won’t split or crack from normal use. Whether you’re purchasing your first or want to consolidate licenses from older keys, iLok makes it easy to take all of your software authorizations with you, wherever you go.Please note: This iLok does not come with any pre-authorized licenses, software, or plugins.
If you have products that use the old-style PACE license cards, you will need to use the original iLok USB Key. An iLok is not required to use with Pro Tools First, Pro Tools, Pro Tools Ultimate, Avid VENUE, and all “retail” Avid and third-party audio plugins.
ILoks are needed to authorize these versions of Pro Tools software without an internet connection. Cookies are important to the proper functioning of a site.
